Abstract

An investigation on the determination of soil concentration on water was done using RGB pixel characteristics of digital images of water samples. A change in the behavior of each color was noticed owing to the variations of the wavelength. Red and Green pixels were added since the two gave the highest correlation with the soil concentration. This is necessary to determine concentration of soil in the sample. In this study, the percentage error is 24.89%. The study can be extended to different samples such as fruits, fibers, and vegetables.
