Prompt J/ψ plus jet associated production in ep deep-inelastic scattering

Abstract

The associated production of prompt J/ψ meson and jet in ep deep-inelastic scattering (DIS) is investigated to leading order within the factorization formalism of nonrelativistic quantum chromodynamics (NRQCD). Theoretical predictions to J/ψ plus jet associated production in ep DIS at DESY HERA are updated using latest extraction of NRQCD matrix elements from recent Fermilab Tevatron data on J/ψ production. Recent data taken by H1 and ZEUS Collaborations favor coloursinglet model predictions.
