Evaluation of Physics Fair projects at UP Los Baños
Abstract
This paper discusses responses of students when asked about their perceived difference in the effect of their physics projects during the 2nd semester 2005−2006. Results showed that the perceived average difference before and after the project was 1.042 for camaraderie among groupmates, 0.902 for appreciation of physics as a course and 0.878 for physics comprehension. The responses gathered from each course was found to be significantly different from one another using one-way ANOVA test and thus could be used as basis for which course project had greater effect in the three main aspects considered. The internal consistency-reliability as measured by Cronbach's alpha for all the three main points was found to be quite high, with an average of 0.82, proving that the questionnaire's parallel questions did indeed measure similar responses.
