Abstract

This paper proposes a safety course for students in the undergraduate Physics curriculum. The course is substantially on occupational safety and health. The scope and sequence of topics is presented and explained. Cooperative and problem-based learning approaches are used. A number of individual as well as group activities are proposed to augment theoretical learning. Greater social awareness and involvement is given more emphasis; yet, the thrust for continually-evolving know-how is still the prime objective. A novel approach in evaluating the performance of the students is offered. Certain qualification of the instructor is also set and recommended.
