Abstract

Gelatin extracted from animal tissues such as skin, muscle, and bone was electrospun to obtain a gelatin nanofiber from the gelatin-formic acid solution. The doping concentration was varied at 100%, 67% and 50% g/ml. The samples were examined for doping concentration effect on the morphology of the gelatin nanofiber web by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It was observed that an increase in dopant concentration corresponds to an increase in size of the gelatin nanofibers.
