Abstract

The tutorial is an introduction into occupational safety and health (OSH) in our local workplace conditions. It focuses on the single office equipment that seems ubiquitous in our present workplace set-up − the computer workstation. Indeed, it is the prevailing workplace equipment that every employee has to deal and work with. It is, therefore, to the distinct advantage of the college students − both of the non-graduating and graduating types − to know and address the different concerns regarding the repeated use of this equipment. The tutorial will focus on the ergonomics, radiation safety, and bioelectrical stress affecting the computer user.
