Abstract

Working within the Kubo linear response theory, we present a derivation of the conductivity of cuprate superconductors possessing lattice defects which may be due to oxygen vacancies or nonmagnetic impurities in the CuO2 planes. We use the d-p model, simultaneously employing the fluctuation-exchange scheme to account for the Coulomb repulsions at copper-sites and the coherent potential approximation to account for the effects of lattice defects in the CuO2 plane.
