Abstract

This paper aims to graph the transmittance vs. wavelength of different hybrid varieties of Hibuscus rosa-sinensis. Samples were collected, mounted in a holder and the graphs of the transmittance vs. wavelength of samples were obtained. These graphs were compared with the actual color of the sample. Also, it was observed that all the samples have high transmission at the red region which maybe associated to the presence of red pigments in all the varieties.
