Students' perception of the turning point in motion graphs

Abstract

We explored further students' misconception regarding motion graphs, particularly their concept of the turning point of motion. Results showed that although students have basic knowledge of kinematics and are able to extract basic information from motion graphs, majority of the students still choose the physical turning point instead of the actual turning point.
