2004 Tiwi fieldwide precision gravity and precision leveling surveys

Abstract

Fieldwide precision gravity and precision leveling surveys are conducted every other year to monitor mass withdrawal from the Tiwi geothermal reservoir. To gain insight on reservoir management parameters, measurements taken from the surveys are also used as an independent constraint in numerical simulation models of the Tiwi reservoir. The use of a new Windows based data processing package has greatly improved the ability to obtain high quality data by allowing for better survey monitoring and comparison with previous survey results.
