Analysis of the frequency dependence of the AC loss in MgB2 based on the eddy current model
Abstract
Frequency dependence of the AC loss in MgB2 is analyzed using the eddy current model. Utilizing equations for temperature dependent penetration depth and electrical resistance, a fitting function for χ"(T) which is proportional to i(T)/Bac is obtained. The comparison of the χ"(T) measurements with the corresponding fit described by the eddy current model show satisfactory agreements. The frequency dependence of the penetration depth and the electrical resistance were deduced.
