Abstract

Absorption coefficients of nitric oxide (NO) were measured between 1750 to 2000 cm-1 (56 lines) using a CO-laser photoacoustic spectroscopy setup. Most have errors of around 10% or less. These results are close compared to the Hitran database for NO. Significant deviations are due to interference of H2O in our setup. The absorption coefficients for five (5) lines used in the multicomponent analysis were tested for calibration of the setup. The calculated concentrations are very close to the set concentrations although it exhibits a slight offset.
