Abstract

The morphology of the film from MgB2 bulk powder prepared on SrTiO3 substrate by a solution deposition-thermal annealing technique was investigated using a scanning electron microscope. The samples heat-treated at two different temperature profiles showed different results. A larger grain size, lesser porosity, better homogeneity, and more distinct hexagonal features were observed on a sample annealed at 920°C for 1 hour than at 800°C for 2 hours.
