Comparative analysis of AC harmonic susceptibility measurements on polycrystalline YBCO samples with and without intergranular coupling
Abstract
Comparative analysis of the temperature behavior of the odd harmonic susceptibilities of YBCO samples with and without intergranular coupling has demonstrated that the interaction between superconducting grains can generate a harmonic response. The intergranular coupling was eliminated in the sample using transformer varnish as binding material. Moreover, such method of eliminating the intergranular coupling allowed for an extraction of the intrinsic harmonic response generated within superconducting grains.
