Abstract

Two-photon optical beam-induced current (OBIC) and two-color two-photon OBIC in blue light-emitting diodes were demonstrated using red (683 nm) and green (954 nm) Stokes lines from a 355-nm pumped hydrogen Raman shifter. Excitation with individual focused beams yielded non-linear responses to input intensity, while simultaneous excitation with in-line confocal beams resulted in a response proportional to the product of the individual beam intensities. Dynamic range of excitation, however, was limited by photo-induced damage at higher intensities as optical pulse duration was in the order of several nanoseconds.
