Abstract

The magnetic field and temperature dependence of above-Tc superconducting fluctuations in a Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ thin film was investigated under varying applied magnetic fields. Using the Aronov-Hikami-Larkin (AHL) equations, the coherence lengths of the above-Tc Cooper pairs were calculated and found to vary non-linearly with the temperature. The coherence lengths, however, vary linearly with low magnetic fields (B ~ 1T), a behavior indicative that the coherence length is not only spatially dependent, but is also highly sensitive to low magnetic fields.
