Effect of the primary path length on the acoustic attenuation of an active noise control system in a cylindrical duct
Abstract
We present results of our investigation on the effect of the primary path length on the performance of an active noise control (ANC) system in an acoustic duct using the filtered-X least-mean-square (FXLMS) algorithm. The ANC system was implemented on the low cost Texas Instruments (TITM) TMS320C5402 digital signal processor (DSP). It was found that longer duct lengths have poor attenuation performance.
