Wealth distribution for different cooperation strategies
Abstract
We investigate the wealth distribution of a population with simplified models of socialism, capitalism and kin selection as the strategy for cooperation. Clustering of income distribution at one specific range is observed in socialist and capitalist systems while several clusters result if kin selection is imposed. Our findings indicate that there is a trade-off between the desirable amount of wealth generated and its fair distribution among the individuals for any cooperative strategy.
