Active noise control in a duct using the least-mean-square algorithm
Abstract
We have implemented active noise control in a duct using a digital signal processor. Using the filtered-x least-mean-square (FXLMS) algorithm we obtained an attenuation of six orders of magnitude for narrowband noise with frequencies below 500 Hz. We furthermore observed that the length of the silent region decreases with higher frequency.
