Abstract

The holographic method of reconstructing three-dimensional (3D) objects using both silver halide film and a mega-pixel resolution digital photo-camera is realized using a compact laser diode system. The multi-mode 639 nm laser diode (LD) is controlled and stabilized by an assembled LD driver and temperature controller. At 70 mA, the LD operates with a single mode and may be applied for holography.
The developed LD-based holography setup which includes a digital photo-camera is portable and inexpensive which makes holography more accessible to all holography enthusiasts especially those in the high school and college levels.
