Abstract

Spin density waves in cuprate superconductors are investigated basically using the slave fermion formulation where the spin wave operator is constructed as a linear combination of the bosonic spin operators. A generalized spin wave operator is subsequently introduced. The contribution of these spin waves to the expression for Pauli spin susceptibility for cuprate superconductors is then obtained in the finite temperature (Matsubara) formalism.
