Abstract

Initial tests showed that there is no gravitational and magnetic field anomaly along the magnetic hill road on Mount Makiling, Laguna. Using a dumpy level set-up, the elevation map of the road was determined. Based on the map, the road has a downward slope in the direction from Jamboree to PCARRD, contrary to the popular uphill perception. The magnetic hill was also observed from different angles and pictures were taken. The observed phenomena is attributed to an optical illusion.
