Abstract

AC magnetic susceptibility measurements were done on sintered YBCO for various applied magnetic fields ranging from 0.2 mT to 2.0 mT and excitation frequencies ranging from 110 Hz to 1800 Hz. The out-of-phase signal obtained shows two distinct peaks. The intergranular loss peak broadens and shifts in position to lower temperature with applied magnetic field. The hysteresis loss peak shifts in position to higher temperature with excitation frequency.
