Abstract

This paper investigated the motility characteristics of a single trichome of a phototactic bacteria in a liquid environment. The experiments have shown that phototaxis is stronger for longer trichomes and is possible only when the light excitation does not fluoresce Spirulina platensis Ruther upon optical contact.
