Abstract

In this paper a modified Navier-Stokes equation is applied to the Poiseuille flow of a fluid moving in a vertically positioned cylindrical tube. Due to azimuthal symmetry our simple model of a two-dimensional fluid enclosed between two parallel boundaries is an exact equivalent to the cylindrical system. Non-slip boundary conditions are used.
