Abstract

In the presentation I will start with a brief inventory of international developments in physics education research and development. Then I will try to take a look at the Philippine situation through the eyes of the teacher and analyze why various projects/programs have not reached many of their objectives.  Finally, I will pose some proposals for investment (time and money) in Physics Education. Examples will be modeled in the lecture and there will be some surprising conclusions which might defy the common sense of physicists.
