Abstract

The cavity configuration of a CPM (Colliding Pulse Mode Locking) Nd:YAG laser with both concave-antiresonant ring stable resonator and convex-antiresonant ring unstable resonator configuration were investigated. The experimental results have shown that, in the unstable resonator, the energy of a single pulse train is measured to be 100 mJ which is about 10 times comparing to stable resonator. The highest single pulse power up to 4 GW Is estimated and pulse duration is about 8 psec.
