A microprocessor-controlled intelligent UV/Visible spectrometer
Abstract
The performance of a microprocessor controlled UV/Visible spectrometer is presented. All pertinent handshaking operations and processing are handled by an Apple IIe microcomputer through the use of its game I/O connector and peripheral connector with a 6522 VIA as buffer. Incorporated software includes routines for emission and absorption analysis with options for smoothing (Savitzky-Golay method), peak search, regressions and automatic gain control. Spectral data can be viewed on the monitor, recorder or printer.
