Abstract

The effect of Sr/Ca ratio on the superconducting properties of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+d was studied. The Sr/Ca ratio was varied by changing the Sr/Ca ratio in the starting materials, and analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy based on the bond valence sum calculation. It was found that the superconducting properties were sensitive to the deficiency of atoms in the Sr layer.
