On alternative form of the Rarita-Schwinger equation
Abstract
A five dimensional formalism was used to study the projection of the Bargman Wigner field into the Rarita-Schwinger subfield. Manipulation of the Rarita-Schwinger field was greatly facilitated and better understood in the projective context. In particular, we used the projection operators to identify two operators to which the Rarita-Schwinger field is invariant. Identification of alternative forms of the Rarita-Schwinger Equation which incorporates the subsidiary conditions can be easily constructed with the addition of these two operators to the Dirac operator.
