Stealth supersymmetry and the minimal universal extra dimensions in light of Run 2 of the Large Hadron Collider
Abstract
Despite the success of the Standard Model, some long-standing issues such as the hierarchy problem and the nature of dark matter are still left unresolved. New physics frameworks such as Supersymmetry (SUSY) and Universal Extra Dimensions (UED) have been proposed to explain these problems. However, extensive searches at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) for almost a decade have yet to provide us with convincing signals of SUSY and UED. In this talk, we look at the status of specific incarnations of SUSY and UED, known as Stealth SUSY and Minimal UED (MUED) respectively and whether they still evade existing searches from Run 2 of the LHC.
