The National Institute of Physics: History and current status

Abstract

The history and current status of the Institute is presented. Policies and practices in faculty development, curriculum changes and administration of graduate programs from the 1960’s to the present is discussed. Strategies that worked or did not produce satisfactory results will be highlighted with the aim of assisting other institutes on how to comply with the new directives from CHEd and DOST. An overview of the research capabilities and possible collaborative projects with other institutes will also be presented.
