Recent progress in non-equilibrium physics with light and matter
Abstract
I will discuss our recent progress in the field of non-equilibrium physics with light and matter. I will present recent results on quantum-dot circuit QED systems, Hamiltonian and bath engineering of cavity-QED systems, realization of giant photon amplification and generation of long-lived entangled states of matter. These results are important both from a fundamental perspective and from the point of view of device applications (such as quantum diodes and rectifiers, photon amplifiers, lasers).
