Broadband incoherent light fidelity channel model
Abstract
We model the Light Fidelity (LiFi) channel which uses a broadband incoherent light as a carrier. We empirically derived the path loss model, and coherence bandwidth of the channel. Results show that there is minimal intersymbol interference in the channel but the signal suffers greatly in terms of channel fading due to the path loss. Lastly, simulations of multi-path interference using a Michelson Interferometer show minimal interference due to path differences.
