Label-free optical imaging to quantify the quality in biological complex systems
Abstract
This presentation will introduce biological application of two types of label-free optical imaging techniques. We have been using these techniques to quantify the quality of the elements in biological complex systems. Raman scattering microscopy has proved promising for measurement of cellular state transition during the cell differentiation. Second-order nonlinear scattering microscopy has also proved useful for sensing of molecular structure transition. I will discuss the signiï¬cance of the label-free imaging techniques in the biology studies and their future possibilities.
