Simultaneous preparation of qubits through control of environment
Abstract
A chain of qubits are prepared to some desired diagonal states, including pure states, by controlling the effect of decoherence on the system through a designed environment. The qubits that make up the chain, independent of their initial states, simultaneously evolve to a common steady state and is independent of the number of qubits in the chain. Since the resulting steady states are also separable states, this system can also be used to separate entangled states.
