Abstract

We measure the student comprehension of texts subjected to deletion of words based on their language networks - co-occurrence, synonymy and syntactic networks. Results show that deleting words decreases comprehension but not linearly with strong targeted deletion as the most effective and efficient type especially in co-occurrence network.
