Second-order Z0 boson leg loop corrections in the decay of Z0 boson to Leptons

Abstract

We extend the standard tree-level calculations of the Z0 boson decay rate into leptons to include second-order radiative corrections in the Z0 boson external leg. Two diagrams, consisting of the Z0 self-energy and the Z0 → γ transition, have been taken into account. We used dimensional regularization techniques to calculate the Feynman amplitude involving ultraviolet divergent loop integrals then incorporate the necessary loop corrections inside the decay rate formulae.
