Abstract

We transfer chemical vapor deposited graphene from copper to SiO2/Si by attaching glass-supported soft paraffin on the graphene side and etching the copper in FeCl3. An SiO2/Si substrate was lightly placed in contact with graphene. Paraffin was dissolved in hexane and chloroform. Optical and atomic force microscopies show clean and paraffin-laden graphene. Scanning electron microscopy reveals graphene sizes up to 200mm, larger than thermal-release tape assisted transfer. Raman spectroscopy shows 2D, G, and defect D intensities, with ratios consistent with single layer graphene.
